If you believe you have a client who may be a good fit, you or your client may reach out to schedule a free consultation call.
After the call, I will be able to provide information about whether an EMDR Intensive would be a good fit for the client.
If the client agrees to move forward, I request the client sign a Release of Information so you and I can collaborate on treatment. I also require the client, referring therapist and myself sign an Adjunct Therapy Agreement which clarifies my role as an adjunctive therapist and specifies that your client will not be able to transfer to me for weekly therapy.
Once the client consents to proceed, I require all three parties to sign an Adjunct Therapy Agreement. This document outlines my role as an adjunctive therapist and explicitly states that while I will be providing specialized adjunctive therapy, you will remain the primary therapist.
Depending on your client's needs and treatment goals, we can determine the appropriate number of sessions to support your client in achieving their goals. Some options include:
2-3 hour Intensive once a month over the course of 3-6 months
3-9 hour Intensive over one to two weeks
Please note: An EMDR Intensive may not be right for every client. I have extensive education and experience in treating complex trauma and dissociative disorders and will give you my honest feedback on whether I think the intensive model could benefit your client.
