If you're an experienced EMDR clinician working with complex trauma and dissociation and are ready to take the next step in your ability to meet your clients' deepest needs, then you are in the right place.
Have you attended multiple workshops on EMDR, trauma and dissociation but have difficulty integrating the information into your case conceptualizations and clinical practice with one of your clients?
Feeling alone and without peer support in navigating the complex relational dynamics inherent in trauma work?
Then the 10 month Advanced webinar may be the educational experience you have been searching for.
"I learned a tremendous amount and felt very supported to implement new strategies in my practice. The format of lecture, readings, consultation, and experiential practice enhanced my learning experience. By far the best training I have taken!"
- 23-24 Webinar Participant
Join Farnsworth and Kristen for an in-depth study of EMDR Therapy, Theory of Structural Dissociation of the Personality and utilization of the Meeting Place (also known as Fraser’s Dissociative Table Technique).
Over the course of 10 months, attendees will increase their knowledge of Theory of Structural Dissociation of the Personality and the Meeting Place and build confidence in integrating it within the framework of EMDR's AIP model.
"There were so many wonderful facets to this training that has changed my work forever and I am so grateful. Becoming more comfortable and knowledgeable with the meeting place has by far had the most profound effect on my clinical work. I use it with nearly all of my clients and they all report finding it helpful to foster internal communication amongst their parts, as well as have given them a tool to utilize outside of sessions to identify new discoveries about themselves."
Joshua Adair, LCSW - 23-24 Webinar Participant
The webinar has been structured to provide clinicians with multiple ways of learning and integrating the concepts:
Didactic: We utilize Gonzalez & Mosquera’s EMDR and Dissociation: The Progressive Approach (2012), Steele, Boon & van der Hart’s Treating Trauma Related Dissociation: An Integrative Approach (2017) along with other select readings. Presentations of the readings, supplemented with Farnsworth and Kristen’s own clinical experiences, will support you in understanding the readings. Each presentation is followed by an open Q&A period to enhance clarity on the concepts.
Experiential: A Meeting Place practicum where you can experience the powerful intervention with your colleagues in small groups. A session called “The Meeting Place Workshop” where we ask participants to bring in typed transcripts of a Meeting Place session and we review as a group, highlighting successes and opportunities for growth.
Integrative: Case Consultation is one of the most valuable aspects of our 10 month journey. The Advanced webinar provides 9 attendees with the opportunity for a 30 minute dedicated case consultation. Additionally, we will have time for open consultation at the end of most sessions. Through consultation you will be able to deeply integrate what you have learned and walk away feeling more confident in your clinical abilities.
Community: By far the most important aspect of the webinar is the community created with colleagues who provide validation and encouragement along the journey. Farnsworth and Kristen strive to create a learning space that is genuine, empathic, accepting and honoring of your unique gifts and talents.
"The 10-month webinar exceeded my expectations in helping me work with dissociation and dissociative clients. I have a deeper understanding of client conceptualization, treatment planning, and how structural and relational elements of my clients' internal system(s), as well as trauma related phobias and similar blocks, function to help or hinder treatment."
