Transform Your Trauma Therapy Practice

Rebuild your practice so it supports you instead of burning you out

An 8-week group coaching program to help trauma therapist make intentional business decisions, build new income streams, and design a practice that supports the depth of the work they do.

Transform Your Practice Now

The landscape is shifting. Your business model may not be.

Insurance reimbursements haven't kept pace with your training. The referral streams you've relied on are less predictable than they used to be. AI is showing up in your clinical work in ways no one prepared you for. And the political and cultural climate is draining your empathy reserves before you even sit down with your first client.

You've been able to set the business side aside. For a while, that worked.

It doesn't anymore.

If there was ever a time to look honestly at how your practice is structured and whether it can actually sustain you through the shifting future, it's now.

I See You, Dedicated Trauma Therapist...

You didn't get into this work for the money. You got in because you believe in healing, and because this work matters to you in ways that go beyond a career.

And yet.

You're carrying more than you ever have. Complex cases, administrative weight, emotional labor, and a business model that was never designed for the depth of work you do. Your capacity is wearing thin. And somewhere underneath the exhaustion is a version of your practice that you haven't had the time or energy to build.

Maybe You're Quietly Asking Yourself

“How much longer can I keep this pace?”

“I love this work, but it’s not feeling sustainable anymore.”

“Is it wrong to want more time, more income, more ease?”

You're not alone. And you're not wrong for wanting that.

Here's what's actually true:

You are not burned out because you don't care. You're burned out because  you do.

And the qualities that make you exceptional at this work, your empathy, your depth, your commitment, are the very things most at risk if nothing changes.

There is a way to honor your clients and your calling without sacrificing yourself in the process. But it requires building a practice that works differently than the one you have now.

Why this program. Why now.

I've been providing business consultation to trauma therapists, formally and informally, for over a decade. I've also spent those years taking every business training I could find.

And the same thing has become clear to me every single time: you cannot take the trauma out of business training for trauma therapists.

Business conversations with therapists who work with trauma clients are different. They touch on clinical complexity, ethical weight, the particular way our clients' needs can pull on our own boundaries, the money shame that runs deep in this profession, and the very specific challenge of pricing specialized expertise that took years to build.

Generic business advice doesn't account for any of that. I haven't found another program that does.

TYTTP was built for exactly what you're navigating. Not therapists in general. Trauma therapists specifically.

And what you'll find here is not a prescription. Whether you work with insurance, private pay, or a hybrid, whether you want to add intensives or simplify your caseload, there is no right answer. I'm going to hand you. What I will do is help you get clear on what sustainability looks like for you, and then help you build towards it, without judgement about the path you choose.

"My private practice started without true intention or direction and was essentially a conglomeration of other people's ideas over time. Owning this type of business is a very niche market and general business/marketing guidance doesn't completely translate to trauma therapy. Kristen's program allowed for clarity and accurate information about my field and how it relates to my business. I have left feeling more confident in my policies, business structure, and marketing."

Amy, LMSW

What's included in this round

This is an 8-week group coaching program. It runs with a maximum of 12 people, intentionally small so the work stays real and the community stays close.

8 live group coaching calls
2 hours each, covering everything from reclaiming your business owner identity to rate-setting, income stream development, marketing, and building the online presence that reflects the practice you're actually building.
Three individual 30-minute sessions with me
Scheduled at key transition points across the 8 weeks. This is 1.5 hours of one-on-one time built directly into the program, not an add-on, not a bonus. It's there because group work has limits, and your practice deserves specific attention.
Voxer access throughout the program
So you can keep moving between sessions instead of waiting for the next call.
The Foundations Digital Course
($395 value) included with your enrollment and yours to keep for as long as the program is offered. This is the conceptual backbone of everything we do together. I have applied for NBCC CE credits for the Foundations course.
A website development tool
Built specifically for trauma therapists. You will walk through a guided process that produces your therapeutic superpower, your ideal client profile, and block-level copy for your home page, about and contact pages, so you leave with a real working draft of your website, not a blank page and good intentions.

Introducing

Transform Your Trauma Therapy Practice

An 8-week group coaching program to help trauma therapists build income streams that match their expertise, without burning out or abandoning their values.

What if there were a way to do the work you love - without feeling overworked, underpaid or quietly resentful?

What if you could finally take that idea off the shelf, whether it's intensives, consultation, a group, or something else entirely, and actually make it happen?

What if you had space to breathe, to rest, to dream again about what your career could look like?

It's not just possible...it's doable with guidance and a supportive community.

And it starts with creating a practice that works for you.

That's where Transform Your Trauma Therapy Practice comes in.

This 8 week group program was designed specifically for trauma therapists who:

  • Have been thinking about expanding their income but don't know where to start
  • Want to offer intensives, consultation, groups, or other services beyond traditional therapy
  • Are ready to raise their rates or make strategic changes to how they practice
  • Want support and accountability to finally take action on ideas they've had for years

Inside this program, you'll explore what's possible, get clear on what you want to build, and leave with a concrete plan to make it happen, all with the support of other trauma therapists who understand this work.

This isn't about hustling harder. It's about building smarter, so your practice supports your life instead of consuming it.

Debra Payne, PhD, LCSW

"Kristen helped me to find the “why” of my trauma therapy practice – who I work with best, what differentiates my work from other therapists out there, and why trauma work brings meaning to my life. She also helped me to see the value that I bring to my clients.

Because of Kristen and the Transform Your Trauma Therapy Practice program, I have made better sense of my practice and I’ve tapped into the creativity and joy is inherent in this work. And as a result of all of this, my practice runs much more smoothly than before, I’m making more money and I’m less stressed, and I know that it will only get better from here!

Live Coaching Calls

Each week, we meet live for a 2 hour group coaching call where we tackle the real challenges that come up as you implement what you're learning. These aren't lectures...they're collaborative working sessions designed to help you make real changes in real time. All sessions are recorded for those who can't attend live.

Reconnect With Your Why

Clarify your vision for what's next

You became a therapist because you care deeply but over time, the passion that once fueled your work may have gotten buried under paperwork, packed schedules, and the emotional weight of this profession. In this opening call, we'll pause to reflect on where you've been, where you are now, and where you want to go. You'll leave with a clear vision for what you want your practice to become.

Understanding Your Value

Price your expertise with confidence

Before you can build new income streams, you need to understand what your expertise is actually worth. This week, we'll look at why trauma therapists are systematically undercompensated and introduce a framework to help you calculate rates that reflect your training and experience, whether for your current services or the new offerings you're building.

Is Your Foundation Solid

Identify what needs to be fixed before you build

Before you build something new, we need to make sure the house isn't on fire. This week, we'll identify the areas of your current practice that leak energy and could derail your expansion plans. You'll pinpoint what needs attention and get directed to the resources to fix it, so you can move forward with confidence.

Planning Your Income Stream

Choose your direction and start building

This is where ideas become plans. Whether you're drawn to intensives, consultation, groups, courses, or strategic changes to your current model, this week you'll narrow down your direction and identify the concrete next steps to make it happen. Breakout groups will be organized by what you're building so you can learn from others on a similar path.

AI Tools for Business

Get the tools to support your expansion

Learn to use AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Google NotebookLM) to accelerate your income stream development. Whether you need help with pricing, policies for new offerings, marketing copy, or organizing your thoughts, these tools will support the work you're doing for the rest of the program.

Your Website and Marketing Materials

Make sure people can find you

Your website and marketing materials need to reflect the practice you're building, not just the practice you've had. This week, we'll look at what needs to change so the right people can find you for your new offerings, whether that's an intensive page, a consultation services section, or simply updating your homepage to reflect your expertise.

Marketing and Outreach

Get visible to the right people

You are building something valuable. Now people need to know about it. This week, we'll focus on how to get your new offering in front of the people who need it, whether through referral relationships, your existing network, or other outreach strategies that feel aligned with who you are.

Graduation and Next Steps

Celebrate your progress

We'll reflect on your journey through the program, acknowledge what has shifted, and create space to consider how your practice will continue to evolve. You'll leave with a clear sense of your next steps and options for continued support.

I'm Kristen...Nice to meet you!

Working with complex trauma is my passion but I found a full-time caseload wasn't sustainable.

I sought balance by offering consultation and teaching, breaking down complex trauma concepts into clear, practical strategies for therapists to utilize with their clients.

Now, I’m bringing that same approach to the business side of therapy.  With my background in business and corporate leadership, I simplify business strategies into therapist-friendly steps so you can grow your practice without the overwhelm.

What my students are saying...

About transforming their money mindset.

2025 Program Participants

"I learned my worth given my training and experience and I learned that I have an important skill to offer those who need it."

"We do not need to sacrifice ourselves and our wellbeing in order to make a difference in the world."

[I learned] "how to put a dollar value on what we do based on what we've invested. And, that there are ways to work in setting ourselves apart from everyone else in the field."

"I recognize that I have a specific niche and skill set that many therapists do not have. This trauma therapy niche is highly needed."

Cathy Hein, LCSW

"This course will help you identify where you needed to focus time and energy and how to do it. It gives practical tools to help you do all of it. It will give you direction based on wherever you are in your practice development. It will help you identify and implement the next steps."

Digital Course Modules of TYTTP

Inside the digital course, I go in-depth on each of these topics with video lessons designed for busy therapists. The digital course is yours for as long as I offer the program, so you can revisit lessons whenever you're ready to implement something new or need a refresher as your practice evolves.

Module 1:  Business Fundamentals

Build the financial foundation that prevents burnout instead of causing it

Stop flying blind with your practice finances. This module helps you understand exactly where your money comes from and where it goes...without becoming an accountant. You'll learn how to pay yourself consistently instead of whatever's left over, understand the six levers you can pull to increase your income, and build a financial foundation that actually prevents burnout instead of contributing to it.

Module 2:  Confident Rate Setting

An ethical approach to setting private pay rates

Discover why you're probably significantly undercharging and get the tools to fix it. This module introduces the TYTTP Rate Calculation Framework, a researched approach that helps you set private pay rates based on your actual expertise, training, and market position. You'll learn why the insurance reimbursement model has systematically devalued your specialized skills, how to calculate an ethical rate that reflects your true worth, and exactly how to communicate rate increases to current clients without damaging the therapeutic relationship.

Module 3:  Practice Policies

Create boundaries that protect your business and support your clients' healing

Transform your policies from something you dread enforcing into a therapeutic tool that actually supports your clients' healing. This module addresses the three policy areas that directly impact your revenue and capacity for trauma work: cancellation and payment policies, sliding scale agreements, and communication outside sessions. You'll learn why clear policies are trauma-informed care, how to handle the transference and countertransference that shows up, and how to communicate policies in ways that build trust rather than create ruptures.

Module 4:  Caseload & Schedule Optimization

Design a schedule that protects your energy

Learn how to design a schedule that works with the unpredictable nature of trauma work instead of against it. This module helps you determine your actual sustainable caseload (not what you think you "should" be able to handle), optimize your schedule for the reality of trauma work, and protect your energy so hard sessions don't derail your entire day. You'll also get clear guidance on the ethics of referring out when your life circumstances change or your caseload becomes unsustainable.

Module 5:  Professional Development

Build depth over breadth and stop training from a place of "not good enough"

Stop collecting certifications from a place of "not good enough" and start investing strategically in depth. This module helps you distinguish between professional development that genuinely builds your expertise versus reactive training that manages imposter syndrome. You'll learn why going deeper in what you already know matters more than adding another modality, how to build a support structure (paid consultation, peer support, personal therapy) that actually sustains you, and how to create a 5-year vision that guides your training decisions instead of letting FOMO drive them.

Module 6: Marketing & Professional Visibility

Speak the heart of your practice with clarity

This module teaches you to think of your website as the first step in the therapeutic relationship...a place where potential clients can feel seen, understood, and safe before they ever contact you. You'll learn how to get clear on your specialization and ideal client , create website copy that actually connects with the people you serve best, and make yourself findable in a world where AI tools are changing how people discover therapists.

Module 7: Practice Evolution

Explore what's possible

Explore what becomes possible once your foundation is solid (without pressure to do more than you're ready for). This bonus module helps you identify whether you're ready to enhance something you've already started (like offering intensives or consultation) or create something completely new (like course development or specialty services). You'll learn the two paths for practice evolution, realistic timelines for meaningful income from expanded offerings, and how to choose your next direction based on what actually energizes you rather than what you think you "should" do.

Debra Payne, PhD, LCSW

"Kristen is deeply knowledgeable in both business and in trauma therapy, and she knows what kinds of issues trauma therapists face and how hard they work. She also knows the traps we can fall into with feeling insecure and discounting everything we do.

Kristen is not just a business coach or a mentor – she is an experienced, pragmatic person who is capable of helping trauma therapists to build meaningful practices. She is gentle in her approach – not at all intimidating but clearly an expert. I still cannot believe my luck in finding her!"

Let's Talk Investment

Here's the truth:  most trauma therapists didn't go into this field to make millions.  But that doesn't mean you shouldn't be financially compensated for your skill and the incredibly deep, complex work you do.

You've spend years (and thousands of dollars) on advanced trainings, consultation and certifications.

And yet...you're still stuck in a business model that doesn't reflect your value.  That's not just frustrating - it's unsustainable.

You could spend months (or years) trying to figure out how to make a change on your own, or invest in high-cost business coaching that doesn't understand the emotional side of this work...

Or you can join a program designed just for trauma therapists like you.

More testimonials from past students

This program is worth the investment because...

Cathy Hein, LCSW

"It gives you practical tools to further develop your trauma therapy practice including helping you identify what your work is worth, how to identify your niche, how to develop a website that stands out and attracts your ideal clients, and helps to identify and implement the next steps in practice development."

Andrea Redman, LCSW

"I wanted to let you know I just ran my year-end number and with just the small adjustments we made to my business model, I made $17,000 more this year compared to last year and saw fewer clients!"

PS:  She didn't go private pay.

Laura Decapua, LMFT

Since working with Kristen individually and the TYTTP program, I added over $10,000 in revenue from expanding my business model to include intensives.
