Transform Your Trauma Therapy Practice: Foundations
It's time to claim your identity as a trauma therapist and a business owner.
Transform Your Trauma Therapy Practice: Foundations gives you the business structures that were never part of your clinical training, so you can run a practice that reflects your expertise, supports your life, and evolves with you.
Enroll Now ยท $395You are a trauma therapist. And a good one.
You have done the work to get here. The certifications, the consultation hours, the clinical skill that lets you sit with what most people cannot. You have clients whose lives are different because of what happens in your office.
And now you are ready for something to shift.
Maybe you are feeling the pull of burnout and know something has to change before it gets worse. Or maybe you are ready to expand. New offerings. Intensives. A different kind of caseload. A different kind of week.
Whatever is next for you, you already know you need to understand more about the business side. Rates. Policies. Caseload design. Marketing. The pieces of running a practice that nobody covered in grad school.
And every time you try to learn it, you get overwhelmed, or the advice does not fit trauma work, or you do not know where to start.
That is what this course is for.
This is not about going private pay and making multiple six figures.
It is not a course about hustle, scaling, or rebranding yourself into something you are not.
It is a course about becoming an empowered business owner.
When you actually understand your own business, the rates, the numbers, the policies, the schedule, the structure, you get to make real decisions. Decisions that sustain you. Decisions that let you expand your reach. Decisions that match the life you are actually living and the work you actually want to do.
Most trauma therapists I work with are not running their business. Their business is running them. Decisions got made by default, by accident, by trying to help one more person, by inheriting a model that was never designed for the intensity of trauma work in the first place.
The work we do in this course is straightforward: we look at what you have built, we figure out what is serving you and what is quietly draining you, and we give you the clarity to make strategic choices from here.
One beta participant emailed me at the end of her first year and told me she made $17,000 more than the year before, while seeing fewer clients. She did not raise her rates dramatically. She did not launch a new offer. She looked at her business, dropped one low-paying insurance panel, and added a better one. That is what being an empowered business owner looks like.
Who this is for
This course is for you if:
- You are a trauma therapist
- You are feeling the pull of burnout and know you want to change your practice before it gets worse
- You are starting to dream about expanding your offerings or shifting how you practice
- You suspect your business structure is the problem but do not know where to start
- You have tried generic therapist business coaching and found it did not account for what trauma work actually requires
- You want practical tools and a clear path, not another mindset course
This course is probably not for you if:
- You are brand new to private practice and have not yet seen clients
- You are looking for help scaling an existing group practice or launching a high-ticket program
- You are looking for clinical training (this is strictly the business side)
Seven foundations. 109 lessons.
The course is organized around the seven foundational areas of your business. This course addresses them in the order that tends to work best, though each module stands on its own so you can start where you are most stuck.
Introduction โ How to Use This Course
A short orientation plus the assessment I use with every coaching client to identify what is actually causing your burnout, so you know which foundations to prioritize first.
Module One โ Business Fundamentals
The therapist-as-business-owner mindset shift, plus the accounting, income, and expense concepts nobody taught us in grad school. Ends with a clear framework for paying yourself.
Module Two โ Confident Rate Setting
The TYTTP Rate Calculation Framework, the rate calculator tool, and real guidance on rate increases and communicating rates in a way that builds trust.
Module Three โ Practice Policies
Payment policies, sliding scale policies, and communication policies built through a trauma-informed lens. Policies that protect you and give your clients the predictability they need.
Module Four โ Caseload and Schedule Optimization
How to figure out your sustainable caseload, how to design a schedule that matches your energy, how to protect yourself from vicarious traumatization, and how to plan time off without guilt.
Module Five โ Professional Development
Why you probably do not need another certification, how to build a real consultation and peer support structure, and how to use professional growth to prevent burnout instead of chasing it.
Module Six โ Marketing and Professional Visibility
Marketing as relationship building instead of performance. Clarifying your specialization, building a website that welcomes your ideal clients, and creating a sustainable visibility practice.
Module Seven โ Practice Evolution
What becomes possible once your foundations are solid. The two paths for evolving your practice when you are ready for what is next.
What you get
- 109 video lessons, approximately 4.5 hours of content total.
- 4.5 continuing education credits (pending approval)

About Kristen
I was five years into my trauma therapy practice when I hit a wall. I had inherited the standard model: take insurance to be accessible, see lots of clients to make ends meet, weekly 53-minute sessions because that is how it is done. I was working all the time, being paid insurance rates, and watching clients stay stuck in sessions that were not long enough to move anything real.
Then life changed, and I had to adapt my practice. I learned about intensives, rebuilt my practice, and watched my clients make more progress in 2 or 3 hours than we had made in a year.
I developed this program because as I started sharing what I was doing with colleagues, I realized the same business gaps showed up in almost every trauma therapist I talked to. The issue was rarely clinical skill. It was almost always a business model that was never built for this kind of work.
Before I was a therapist, I spent years in corporate leadership and managing small businesses. I know how to build systems that sustain rather than drain. This course is the system most trauma therapists were never given.
Honest answers to the questions you are probably asking
Probably. The question is how long it will take and what it will cost you in the meantime. One of my beta participants answered this question better than I can: "Maybe, but why would you want to?"
Only you can answer that one honestly. What I will say is that the cost of another year in the current pattern tends to be higher than people think. Rate changes, caseload adjustments, and policy updates can recover the investment quickly if you implement them.
No. This course is about agency, not ideology. Some of my clients stay on insurance and change which panels. Some go private pay. Some do a mix. The point is you make the decision strategically instead of by default.
Most therapist business coaches are not trauma therapists. The pacing, the intensity, the emotional load, and the ethical complexity of trauma work require a different business model. This course was built from inside that experience.
Immediately after enrolling. The course is fully recorded and lives in your Kajabi account. You can start tonight if you want to.
Most lessons are 2 to 5 minutes. The whole course runs about 4.5 hours. It was designed for trauma therapists with full schedules, not people with hours of free time.
You are needed. And you are allowed to build a practice you can actually sustain.
Trauma therapists are changing the world. The work you do does not just change one person, it changes families and sends generational ripples that most other professions cannot touch.
We need you. Which means we need you to still be doing this in five years, ten years, twenty years. That is what this course is for.
